How We Pick Products

SteveGet is built from Steve's own Amazon list. Here's exactly what that means — and what it doesn't.

1. The list is Steve's

Every product on the site comes from Steve's own Amazon list: things he bought, plus things he saved or wants to try. Nobody pays to be added, moved up, or featured.

2. Clear labels

“Steve bought” is based on Steve's own purchase records. “On Steve's list” means saved or wanted — not bought and not reviewed.

3. Notes only from real ownership

Longer notes are written only for products Steve bought. Pages that don't have a full write-up yet are marked as drafts and kept out of search results until they do.

4. Prices are on Amazon

We don't show prices, because they change constantly. The “Check price on Amazon” button takes you to the current listing.

What We Don't Do

  • Accept payment for rankings or placement
  • Accept free products in exchange for coverage
  • Invent star ratings, review counts, or test results
  • Label something “Steve bought” unless his purchase records show it
