Draft — full review coming. Steve bought this one. His full write-up isn't done yet, so below are his short notes from his product list.

What it is

BAOFENG BF-F8HP (UV-5R 3rd Gen) 8-watt dual-band handheld ham radio. Higher-power variant of the popular UV-5R platform.

📝 Steve's note

8 W output can improve range in open conditions versus lower-power models, though antenna and terrain dominate real performance. Same licensing and programming considerations as other Baofeng HTs.
